This thesis work was focused on characterizing the role of a subfamily of genes in hepatocellular carcinoma, a liver cancer subtype with scarce therapeutic options.
Design
Integration of scientific research into visual representation using Barcelona’s city map as an abstract representation of protein network interactions related to liver cancer.
Adding depth to the symbolism incorporating selected colors to emulate histological features, with darker spots representing necrotic or tumoral areas and lighter reds for normal tissue.

As a reworking of the classic Helvetica typeface, Neue Helvetica incorporates aesthetic and technical improvements to enhance design proportions, legibility, and versatility.
Libre Franklin Thin, Regular & Medium
Libre Franklin is a sans-serif typeface with a slightly rounder finish offering excellent readability at all sizes in print materials.
Colors
Amber, with its warm and vibrant tones, is often associated with energy and creativity. There is also a connection between the color Amber and its symbolic representation in the context of scientific research because it allowed researchers to gain insights into ancient ecosystems and the history of life on Earth. Gray, being a neutral color, complements turquoise very well and is used to add balance and sophistication to a design.
